Q: How does selling/buying work?
Buying: Whenever you see an image with a shopping cart, click on it to submit a purchase/use request to the images owner. The buyer will have access to your request in their account and have the option to contact you directly for further discussion.

Q: I contact you, but never got answer! What is going on? HELP!!!
Sorry about this. We always answer everybody, it is just the matter of time. Please give us at least 2-3 weeks to reply for email.
Remember also to go and read all FAQ, most likely you will find answer here. If you did not find answer here and think it is important, PLEASE mention to us in your message and we will add it to FAQ. It will help a lot next visitors.
Q: How can I add images to Daily Mosaic? How does it work? Who is eligable?
Once VFXY Photos robot scan new image to the site, it will put ALL thumbnails into Daily Mosaic for the period of 24 hours.
So what you see in DM is the recent scanned images.
Q: Hi - I registered yesterday, but have not received an activation e-mail as of yet (have checked the junk folder too..). Is there some way you can resend verification? Cheers.
First check you Spam folder.

Q: On my photoblog's profile page, how do I delete an thumbnail? There are some duplicates.
Roll mouse over a thumbnails you want to delete. In browser's status bar on left-bottom you will see url with postID. Write all IDs you want to delete and send it to us with your photoblog ID.
Q: How long it is likely to be before my blog is reviewed and accepted or rejected?
Current waiting period is about 1 month.
Q: How can I add my photoblog to VFXY Photos?
1. Please open new account here
2. Login
3. Go to your profile page
4. Click on left tab "Add your photoblog"
5. Fill form and follow instructions.
Q: How can I update/change my photoblog's feed and/or URL?
1. Please login
2. Click "Account Options" on top right corner
3. Click "Photoblog Settings"
4. Change your feed/URL

Q: Since you changed the site a few weeks ago I have been unable to see any photos on the home page, I just get the navigation bars, top and bottom. What should I do?
This issue should be resolved with our recent upgrades. If you are still experiencing issues then please find and delete all VFXY related cookies in your browser. On Firefox you may do this by:
1. Selecting Tools
2. Click Options
3. Privacy
4. Show Cookies
5. Search for VFXY
6. Select and delete all cookies that appear.
7. Restart your browser.
Q: How can I check if I did fix hotlinking/missing thumbnails problem?
Make a new post on your photoblog. Wait for 3 hours. (if you are using the ping service, wait 10 minutes). Check if you see the new thumbnails on your photoblog's profile page. If you see it, congratulation! What is your next step? Check next the question.
Q: I fixed the hot-linking/missing thumbnails problem but I still have the red message on my photoblog profile page.
Fixing the problem will not eliminate the error message. Only administrators can do this. Please make sure that you have fixed your photoblog errors and send a message with your photoblog ID via the contact page. To check if you fixed the issue see previous question.
Q: When I view my photoblog's page, it says: "This photoblog has technical issues with either feed or hot-linking." What should I do?
1. Go to you photoblog's page, click "Manage Your Photoblog" and check that the information for URL and Feed is right. The feed address should start with http://
2. Check your feed, it must have IMG tag for all your posts. If not an empty image will display in your photoblog profile.
3. Contact your hosting provider and ask to disable hot-linking on your website. Or simple allow access from http://photos.vfxy.com.
4. If you fixed one of the above, post a new photo to your photoblog and please wait at least 24 hours.
5. Contact us and let us know that you fixed it so we can re-approve your photoblog.
Q: I applied in the previous version, I've tried re-registering but it won't work for me.../ I am having trouble logging in, and it says my email address cant be found. Looks like my site has disappeared or deleted. Any reason?
Please do not forget to activate your new VFXY account. If you applied before we introduced our membership service please activate your account by visiting: http://photos.vfxy.com/register/ type your email and click "Validate". You will receive an email with the activation link, follow instructions as specified.
Q: I would like to delete my old photoblog from VFXY. What should I do?
Please send us message via contact page, please include your photoblog ID and the reason why you want to delete it. We always suggest to keep the foot print in Internet history and keep your old photoblog archived in VFXY Photos.
Q: I am a registered user, and I have an accepted photoblog. Now, I'd like to add a second photoblog. Can I edit my profile to add it? Should I register a new user?
We are developing a feature that will allow you to have a few photoblogs. Please stay tuned, it is coming soon.
Q: I write all of my code myself, including the .rss module. What do I have to do to take advantage of the 'ping' function? Or, how do I make my software "report" to VFXY?
The ping function must be activated in your photoblog manager account. You can't have pinging on and robot spidering on at the same time, thus if you turn pinging on the system will only update your blog when you tell it to. If you're using a photoblogging tool that doesn't support pinging or if you've coded it yourself, you may still use pinging. Once pinging is activated you can follow the link specified in your photoblog manager manually. Thus simply visiting the ping link will tell VFXY to visit your blog and check for new changes. We've made update triggering very easy for this particular reason.
Q: How can I change my e-mail address? The old one is spammed too much...
Please contact us. You will be asked to add special code to your index page for security reason, just to confirm that you is really you. We apologize for the inconvenience in advance. Once we can confirm your e-mail is the same as the photoblog site our administrator will update your email.
Q: How do I add the VFXY link to my photoblog?

Q: It seems that ping is not working. How can I start using ping option?
You have to activate ping option in order to use it:
1. Please login
2. Click "Account Options" on top right corner
3. Click "Photoblog Settings"
4. Change your ping settings
5. Save settings
Q: I'm using PixelPost and have problem with my thumbnails. How can I fix it?
There is mistake in your PixelPost settings.
1. Please login to your PixelPost admin.
2. Click "Options"
3. In "URL:" field add "/" at the end!
(Don't forget the tailing slash '/' e.g. http://www.pixelpost.org/)
4. Click "Update" at the bottom of the page.
5. Once it is done let us know via contact page, we will need to reset your account.
Q: Everything worked before, thumbnails were fine. Now Problem! I have published new pictures, but it don't add to VFXY Photos.
First remember to wait at least 3 hours.
Second always CHECK your feed. Go directly to feed URL and check that it is working and has thumbnail information.
Third CHECK your feed with FeedValidator
Q: What determines the quality level? Why is my quality level so low?
The quality level is a basic score which you start at. As you get more hits, more visits, send more referrals to us from your photoblog as well as having more favorites and collections, more votes the higher you will rise. Your rank is comparatively ranked to all the other syndicated blogs, so don't worry, your score will equalize with the others shortly. Just make sure you have the best quality photography possible.
Please remember, our ranking system uses smart algorithm and we are still improving it.
Never cheat! It is not worth it! If we find out that you are cheating you will be removed from VFXY Photos forever.

Q: How come VFXY only shows so many images from my photoblog? I want it show more!
The number of images on VFXY is restricted by the number of images/posts you make available in your feed. If you want more photos to appear then you have to make more available in your feed. We generally ask users to keep a maximum of 10. The whole idea is to attract people to your new content (to get you noticed). If you'd like to import your whole gallery the best steps to take would be:
1. Make all your posts available in your feed.
2. Contact us using the Contact form and ask for an account reset.
3. Upon reset your posts will be imported within 2-3 hours, unless you use the ping service to scan it instantly.
4. Once your photos are online, return your feed back to 10 posts (to save bandwidth on your site)
Q: How will VFXY scan and add my photos?
The images will post on VFXY as the robot finds them in your feed. So from the bottom up they will be scanned (oldest to newest). When new content is detected it's placed on top of your older posts.
Q: What is the rating of a photoblog, how is it calculated? How can one "improve" their rating?

Q: Is it possible to see who has marked my photoblog as a favorite, collected my images?

Q: Why I can not see my photoblog at http://photos.vfxy.com/photoblogs/XXXX?
Probably is not approved yet, meanwhile you can login and go to you photoblog to check what is the status of it + check if thumbnails download is working.
