my birthday is this weekend. I have been alive 38 years now. Friday, went gonzo with fireworks and um, let's say 'other' explosives. Saturday, had a lovely dinner with dear friends, and today another wonderful surprise: i received a crate of old negatives from my mother's mother.some of the negatives are recent like this one, around 1981 or 1982? (a tall & lanky 11 or 12 year old in my grandma's kitchen. oh, don't let the sweet face fool you. By then i was obsessed with the writings of nitchze and bucky fuller, yet inherently skeptical about everything, hated school, indifferent to peers, ready to roam, always had a bag packed: the sweet face was just part of my m.o.) A good many negs are old 6x9's c.1940's. Others even older still. I plan on printing as many good ones as possible for a Hochdorfer family reunion later this summer, so you can guess what I'll be doing with my spare 'indoor' time.
