I took this random shot in Shinjuku one night walking back to the station. The traffic was zooming past and I thought it would be a good effect with the traffic blurring past the light of the city and the crosswalk. The photo was really colourful but I decide to play around on photoshop with the colurs for a bit of practice and this is what I ended up with. I hope you like it and if you have any advice for me please let me know. Happy comments also welcomed. Like my photo's? Well rank my page on VFXY if you have the time. Cheers Daz

Interesting pattern. Nice, would have made it a little under exposed.

@Shuva: Maybe a little although I would lose a lot of detail in the traffic lights
great job. i like the richness of the tones.

@wanganeges: Thanks mate. They are pretty rich
Nice post-processing mate. The sepia-like tone is a nice contrast against a busy night-scene which would have had a lot of vibrant colours in it.

@Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris. The original does have pretty vibrant colours but I do like the sepia look
Great shot.

@Addey: Thanks Addey
I definitely like what you've done with the colour Daz. Taking away the bright reds of the tail-lights gives it a more dreamlike serene tone that contrasts well with all the action. Really great processing. Nice one mate.

@Stu: Thanks Stu. The original had a little too much colour I felt so this is one reason I went with the sepia look. BTW great image today mate.
the sepia really takes that harsh street feel out of it .. dreamlike as stu says..great stuff

@jc: Thanks JC. My thoughts exactly.
Excellent creativity Darren. The easy choice would be to go for the vibrancy of all that colour but this is an alltogehter different take and to be honest one I've not seen before with this kind of shot. It's an experiment which has paid dividends. It's got me thinking of different processing methods other than what I conventionally use with a certain type of shot. Hats off.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks Duncan. I do like to push it sometimes and see if it works.Many photo's like this tend to look very similar, streaks of red and white so I thought I'd challenge a different look. I'm glad you like it. Great photo you have today.
great actions here. like the toning as well.

@Kelvin Chan: Thanks Kevin.
Very nice, the taxis here must be going at lightspeed ;-). Like the sepia tone very much.

@Martin: They are pretty quick. Thanks for the comment.
Think this is a fantastic shot! Like the results from ps etc. The result is really original! I've been here a number of times myself and would really like to see (sorry to the above!) how it looked in it's original format...How were the original colours?

@Shadow Mountains: Thanks Shadow. Originality was my goal. I have the original here if you wish to see it. It's pretty colourful.
Beautiful tones!

@Angry Buddha: Thanks Angry Buddha. Original is here
It might sound repetitive, but it really does bring out a more dreamlike quality. It's a great shot :)

@zahra: Thanks Zahra. Wow many people want to see the original. Here it is.
wow this is like a capture from a movie. its like when one is standing thinking to one self but suddenly everything seems to go faster for no reason....um that doesnt make much sense but i love it. great sepia!

Thanks Moe. I understand what you are saying Moe. You watch too many movies just like me but that's not really bad because movies can give us ideas for our next capture.

I do like the tones here. There is a sense of urgency in the shot with the angle and the blur.

Great shot, Daz. I think your thought process really worked for you. These night shots are often nothing but streaks of colour. This one is like butter. Dreamy and creamy.

It's definately much more interesting than the original. As said above: give as space to dream. Nice one!
