Black Cat, King of Front Street and the Alley
I took this picture when I lived in San Diego.  Black Cat was the ruler of Front Street for a few years.  He rejected his owner who mistreated him.  I and a few neighbors took him in.  He was one of the toughest cats I knew, and very resourceful. Black Cat was quick to let other cats know who was boss, and had a few groupies (cats and humans) follow him around the neighborhood.  He ended up moving to Virginia with one of my neighbors, who was shipped out via the military.  I never stopped missing him.
