 We just got back last night from a long weekend in Northumberland and we are already planning our return visit! It's a great windswept coastline and it is ultimately quite frustrating chasing around with the camera kit when there is so much to see in such short a time. Anyway we did actually make it up for sunrise on the Sunday - it seemed at first it was just going to be a moody but quite dark and cloudy morning and we didn't actually see the sun pop up, hidden as it was by cloud. But 15 minutes or so later a few rays broke through to bask the Farne Islands in a golden light. So we got a few pics in the bag in mixed and varied lighting conditions. Certainly the light was not our ally on some of our visits but got the long job now of working through the photos to see what there is. This picture seemed a nice little intro.
