For those of you who cant identify this, its an oil rig. The pipes you see are used while drilling an oil well.
I was there for a month, near Heglig in Sudan.

@Red Soul: Yeah for a month! That place was best to spot stars and constellations. I saw so many shooting stars ... almost a couple of them every night.
Ohh well I can identify with this pic...cuz my Dad was in the same field.

@Ektaran: Incidentally this rig beloned to a consortium of three companies Chinese National Petroleum Company, Petronas from Malaysia and apna ONGC hehe and client representative there was an Indian. We used to chat so often :D Hearing hindi is a luxury there :D
(looks sheepishly) talk about ignorance and here without reading the narration my first impression was ..."Is It a rocket launcher" man i still have so much learning to do.....lovely pic....awesome shadings in the sky.....

@Kairospix: No I was there for a month. It was a mixed experience. But the best part was clear .. absolutely clear night sky there :)
lolz! it does seem to resemble a rocket launcher in some (deserted) top-secret military base.. hmm, Convexclix, you in the secret service or something? =) interesting picture!

@simon: :)) I work in oil industry
Isn't green lighting for an oil rig oxymoronic? :P Good shot.

@Ricky: Umm actually the structure was painter yellow somehow theres this green tinge to it in the picture :P
the shot is beautiful, but what i love the most is the moon in the background... guess that shows my ignorance about photography...

@virus: Yeah I love that too. I did not have a tripod stand and hence got it a little blurred.
