"Simple" is the brand name on this bicycle. I couldn't tell if it is an old bicycle with new features added, or a new bicycle made to look old fashioned.

The following poem was found amongst items my Father had saved for many years and was clipped from a newspaper so long ago that it has turned deep yellow with age. When my parents first married, my Father walked to work until he could afford to purchase a bicycle. Of course in later years he owned some of the finest cars available, but he never lost sight of the simple things in life.

I used to ride a bicycle,
When I was just a boy.
It was a handsome present,
It was my pride and joy.
To school and home, or to the store,
Or just some place to play.
It took me everywhere I went,
Without the least delay.
And then I got myself a job,
And distance grew so far,
There was no choice, I simply had,
To ride the trolley car.
But never did I reach the stage,
Of autos old or new,
They were the prized possessions of,
The very wealthy few.
Whereas today a car appears,
To be no luxury,
Most teenage youngsters claim it is,
A real necessity.
