I took this shot back in May while on a Mother's Day Breast Cancer run with my Mom, her friend, my sister and my daughter. My sister actually pointed out this area of beach and we both thought it was interesting... and we weren't sure why.. What do you think?
My image "Fog at Marsh Creek" (#13 in the voting lineup) has been selected in the Top 30 for the 'Places' category of the National Geographic Intl Photo Contest! Now it's up to voters to give their scores! Please vote (a '10' if you are feeling generous?) for my image. You will need to submit votes for the other 29 images in the category as well...If you have a minute, it would be appreciated.
Feel free to forward this info to ANYONE you think would like to help me..It is my dream to one day shoot for Natl Geo and you can be part of the first step! Many, many thanks!! WOO HOO!

I would never have pegged this as a beach shot; I am with Kheoh -- it looks like some kind of miniature something -- a train layout or a mini-coastline with large tree stumps seen from a distance. A very interesting piece of real estate, and a visually compelling photo of it, esp in BW. IMO.

Make that three. I wasn't sure if this was something small or if it was very large scale that was photographed from a high vantage point, such as an airplane. But then, that's what makes it very neat and interesting: it could be, in theory, an abstract that works at any scale. It definitely makes you think and exam it. Very unique and intriguing.

Some very interesting objects there - certainly eye-catching. Your BW has brought out a nice contrasting range of tones too.

Love the b/w for this!! I'm thinking these are from volcanic eruptions... or maybe even basalt? Maybe, not sure. The image itself is EXCELLENT!!

I too thought this was something in minature or an aerial view of something fallling apart. What's this look like with its natural colors?? Was this in the inlet?? Love, Y.M.
