A macro of the Pitcher Plant flower. As you can tell, I was fasciinated by this strange flower. I also have an affinity for the Pitcher Plant because seeing it in a Texas nature preserve was my first awareness of the important work done by The Nature Conservancy to protect and preserve our natural world.

This is my favorite of the three you've posted (so far). I really like the angle and the composition, and how you've picked up the red both in the plant as well as in the background, lower right. Very well done.

Nice macro shot. I like it with more depth of field and a little more space at the top. I suggest darken its background and see the result.

@DeadPixel: Thank you for your suggestions! I see what you mean about more dof. I did take several shots with more dof, but, they resulted in too defined a background, so I compromised. I think a longer lens would have achieved both more dof and a blurred background.
Definition and color is superb, very well done.

I like this view of the flower a lot - the shape from this angle is wonderful and I like the blue background. Well done.
