too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

It's a wise choise the b&w for this image - I like the tonal range

@yiannis krikis: thanks, but it's actually not black and white--there is some other color but the statue was itself almost all black and white, so the photo appears that way. :)
He looks like the protector of this place.

great texture: I like the weathered feel as if the lion has been left out in the rain for a long time.
