Jo-Ann

In December I did one shoot of this model. Please meet the lovely Jo-Ann, truly a magnificent model to work with. This was her very first photo shoot and hope you will like the results.

This month we' re looking forward to another shoot!

The next few of these series I will select on or two photographs but which one?

nicely done, now I start wondering what I should shoot with her when I have her in my studio

Before I did the shoot I said to Jo-Ann that she will be quite popular with the photographers once they saw what beauty she is capable of producing

and I wasn't wrong. But first I have lots more ideas for her together with my other model Farida

Only two nitpicks I have are the angle of the arm and the crop. Lovely model though

I have come to understand that you are such a perfectionist that you always find something that could or can be improved

The crop is a personal choice which emphasizes the face more. But the angle? Which angle did you have in mind?

Hey everyone...
just want to thank you all for your comments.
this was my first photoshoot and it's fine working with Rafael..we make a great team ,we had so much fun during the shoot..always laughing...i learned alot from him during this shoot yet there's much more to be learned...you'd always want to do a shoot with him as your photographer!

She is one of those beautiful ladies who doesn't act like she's beautiful...she's just plain old simple and even blushes if someone says she's very pretty. From the inside out, that's what makes here even more attractive

Excellent picture of a beautiful girl. There is a artifact like shadow next to her bottom arm next to the bracelet. Maybe that is what S&S meant. I think the borderless picture is great.

Rafael Chan: Not long ago I calibrated my monitor. Maybe that's why I can not see the artifact you're talking about. I'll check the same Photograph in a website, and hopefully will see what you meant. At the left bottom I've put a watermark of my name. I take it that's not what you meant...
Anyway, many thanks for the compliments and noticing the artifact

Hi Rafael!
I like the idea of this shot & the styling is great as well.
I think the cropping of the front leg looks a bit off though. The PP is a bit too 1980's. Kind of like a scene in the soap "Dallas".
The model looks great! Do you have any other shots for us

Rafael Chan: Hey Nadine, glad to you're up and commenting.
Let's see if you'll understand what I mean if you take one of your own pictures try to crop it again. Show both pictures to two persons (each for the first time) and let them explain to you what they see more in the picture. Cropping can be used also to destract or to emphasize certain (other) parts of the picture as well for reasons of composition

Originality is also a key factor for me!
When shooting Jo-Ann I was searching for an old umbrella to use. Only to get an old feel to it. So if it got stuck in the nineteen eighty's then maybe i've set my timemachine a bit too early

Hey funny you would mention Dallas... I have a story on this for you. Anyway, more is certainly on the way, just experimenting with different kinds of moods and PP.
