Just a pile of wet logs but they appealed to me.

They will make a nice fire one day
Bill Phillips: They surely will! Have a good weekend yourself
Very picturesque Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Chris...on the night shift I see
Grain and texture of the logs captured well Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much vintage
Bit big for the domestic wood pile. richard
Bill Phillips: I believe an axe may solve that problem
Funny thing Bill I took a wood pile the other day when out walking, but it was far bigger than this one. May be one day I will show it. Great minds think alike
Bill Phillips: Or fools seldom differ
Wood you make a series out of this would, Bill?
Bill Phillips: Do you think I am barking mad?
They make a fine subject for a photograph.
Ingrid
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ingrid. for once the rain helped..they looked more interesting wet!
A difinite National Trust look to this pile - they must have strict guidlines ;o)
Bill Phillips: Very tidy the National Trust! It's the visitors who make the mess
Very nice capture Bill. I really like the tones here!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. It really seemed to help that the wood was wet
Gorgeous colors against the greenery here. Nicely spotted.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Scarlet. I just love wood!!
I think I would have taken this shot if I'd been there Bill, it really appeals, and the wetness adds to the depth of colours. Well seen.
Bill Phillips: I'm sure you would Brian. It begged to be photographed!

Bill Phillips: Gosh Doc!! I'm well chuffed!! Thank you
Wood is the most beauitful object to capture, I love the colors, nicely captured, have a great weekend.
Bill Phillips: I love wood. It is warm and tactile. Have a great weekend yourself
They appeal to me ,too, the textures, the rind, the yearrings (Jahresringe) of the wood piles tell of many ages and 'wounds' and--- there is a relationship between the 'life' of trees and our human life!
Bill Phillips: If trees could talk!! I love wood, it is the most wonderful material.
