Thank you to all the Santa Clarita ground and air fire crews that have extinguish many fires in our neighborhood throughout the years. This photo was taken from our back yard!
I am still searching for my ‘style’ and continuing to improve my Photoshop skills to make images and not just take photos. I welcome your comments but ask one thing. If you like an image or not, please tell me why or why not. This is the only way any of us will improve our skills.

@Ana Lúcia: It was a scary afternoon, but the fire was out in less than 30 minutes, no one was injured, and no structures where damaged -- thanks to the quick response by our excellent fire department.
Wow, this is very much like "too close for comfort" I'd think. Great action photo.

@Viewfinder: Fortunately I have a long lense! However the fire is only about ½-block away – and that IS too close.
Looks far too close for comfort!

@Ian Bramham: I agree!
Dangerous place but a nice picture.

@akarui: Thanks. What you don't see in the concrete flood-chanel between me and the fire. Just the same it was too close!
Awesome shot! Love the colors... Sad though...

You captured this very well...the colors are intense and wonderful. Glad to hear everyone was safe and that you didn't suffer any damages or losses.
