Albert Einstein said, "Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas".

I absolutely hate math. It's okay, go ahead and freak out, take a deep breath, and get over it:-)

To me math is not logical. It's about like the rules of baseball. Matthew, our youngest son is playing Little League Baseball and John my husband and John, our oldest son are coaching the team. They had a game tonight and won (Yeah!), but on the way home I mentioned this one play where our Catcher had the ball in his right hand, a boy from the other team was running toward home plate, our Catcher laid his left hand on the plate, the boy stepped on our Catcher's hand as he crossed home plate, and it was a run.

I thought he should have been out. In fact, I said, "I would have shown the Ump the back of my hand and said, I'll show you an out." Now that I've been educated on the rules, I know the hand touching the plate has to be the one with the ball in it.

Good grief! Every time I go to a game I hear another rule and I swannee they sound like the oldest child in the family who makes up the rules as they go. I had four older siblings, I'm an expert on being raised by wolves, but I regress.

This restaurant is on a square in a small town in Arkansas. It has wonderful exposure. For those who may not know, in a small town you can't do any better than being on the square.

When I view the windows the main thing that captures my attention is the hamburger and the words, Old Fashioned Hamburgers. You know that old saying, "Do one thing and do it well?" I can understand having the homemade pies and homemade fudge, but DSL Internet?

No, no, no. Tonight at the game I wore a T-shirt with a graphic of baseball bats making the stripes of the American flag and baseballs representing the stars. The slogan says, "Baseball is America". Well, so are big, juicy hamburgers and anyone who has ever indulged in a big, juicy hamburger knows the last thing you want to do is eat a big, juicy hamburger over a laptop.

I shot this photo on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30 PM and they were closed. That's not logical.

You can't see the entire sign in the bottom, left corner, but it says, "Help Wanted - Apply Within". If I didn't live so far away I'd go in and tell them I saw your sign and I'm here to be your Consultant:-) From now on we'll serve big, juicy hamburgers; install an old fashioned jukebox, promote a laid back atmosphere, and absolutely no DSL Internet.

Oh, and we'll be open on Saturdays.

That is the poetry of logical ideas.

You can find your way across this country using burger joints the way a navigator uses stars.
