Just Open a Vein
Snapped a shot of the Refineries on the way home, then stopped at the gas station, then wondered when they were just going to take my blood for payment.

Melissa, your photographs of the last two days are so timely and effective. My reaction to these two shots was instant and physical. Two very hot topics of the day and the election time; the war and the price of oil. And they are both incredibly beautiful photographs. Amazing job yet again. Thanks for this project. It continues to be a highlight of my day. BTW, I also really LOVE the shots of the Spring flowers!!!

Great shot Melissa, this could be a city from the future. Being more realistic, we have those flames also and we pay absurd prices for our fuel. I think it's an interesting shot.

@Observing: Thanks!
You know what else I love about it.......the "No U-turn" sign that made it into the shot. Kind of foreboding.

@Robert Hunt: Funny you should say that, the U-turn sign was the deciding factor in posting this particular shot. :-)
