Thanks to all those of you who've been voting for me at VFXY Photos (see link below)...this photoblog has been steadily heading up their ranking system over recent months and finally got into the Top 20 (very briefly!)
I'm not sure that I deserve to be in such exalted company as 'Chromasia' and 'Absoultely Nothing' - my two favourite UK Photoblogs, but I'm not complaining!
Thanks again for your support. I really appreciate the vote of confidence!
Ian

Hugo Poon Hugo Poon records his home city Hong Kong in photographs so beautiful that they inspired me to start taking my own photos. Deeply humanist in his vision, Hugo claims that he is not a photographer. Why not visit his photoblog and decide for yourself.
John Leech John Leech is an extremely talented graphic designer and photographer living and working in the beautiful and dramatic English Lake District. He has been so encouraging and influential in the development of my photography that it's difficult to know how to thank him enough.

@Ana Lúcia: Thanks Ana....I was trying to catch the lone workman on the factory floor but with such a long exposure it was difficult - especially when he moved :-)
It's a big workshop, and a nice shot covering top to bottom. Good 'un.

@Cheryl: Thanks Cheryl...yes, it wasn't easy with such a long exposure - he moved part way through the 8 second expousure and went back into his office which is why he looks so indistinct.
Nice, Ian. The use of wide-angle/tall is brilliant.

The blur of the lone worker adds to this image. VERY nicely done!! The whole scope and scale of this is fantastic, Ian. What kind of shop is it?

Excellent capture of this place. There are steel forgers in Houston, Texas that look very similar to this. I've seen the photos.
