Monday we went to Mountain View, a place which will always be home to John.

He didn’t say anything, but I could tell he wasn’t thrilled when I told him I wanted to go back to his school and capture a few pictures.

After a very brief walk, he and John, our oldest son got back in the car and waited while Matthew played baseball with a stick and a rock and I was drawn in between the buildings to explore.

Normally, I don’t go between buildings, mainly because of snakes, but this time the pull was too much.

Imagination is a licensed trespasser: it has no fear of dogs, but may climb over walls and peep in at windows with impunity.
- George Eliot
