too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

Neat processing, but where's Lincoln?! I love how all your images are 'untitled' d anthro -- so, I am going to pretend that this is that building on the back of a penny :-)

There's haloing around the foreground figure like an HDR image. Persian King say no though, so how did you process?
28 May 2008 5:51pm
@Twelvebit: yeah, the haloing is really annoying but was in a rush--getting more busy these days. i still have not attempted any hdr, which is why Persian King knows this isn't one, but the haloing came i believe in part as a result of my shadow/highlight changes, though right this second it occurred to me that it could also have been related to something else--i added a layer in photoshop in which i did a gaussian blur, then used the "multiply" blending mode to fake more detail.
I agree, this does look like an HDR. Nice treatment; it works really well. Nice job.
