too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

These strong pillars make me think that the architect of the bridge wanted to ensure people that his work was really solid. Beautiful tones and textures.

Incredible angle; makes a wonderful image. Old bridges are the best kind as far as beauty.

Thought this was a b&w image at first and then saw the live and dead leaves. I presume this was not done in Photoshop and that this is the colour photo that was taken? Whatever - a lovely photo - well done.

@dobbino: Thanks! The cement of the bridge looked close to black and white to begin with, i think i upped the colors in photoshop and then desaturated the whole thing a tiny bit to make the leaves (dead and alive) a little less saturated, but i don't think that changed the color appearance of the cement much. thanks again!
very nice framing and tonal range

Portrayal of these granite pillars shows the strength of the bridge, also visually the image has strong tones.

Neat perspective and textures - love how the pieces appear to be a puzzle and could be joined together!
