Your title is probably a Scottish place name but it's all Greek to me. Very dramatic photo!.
David from Skye: Thanks Mary- Luskentyre is the name of the sunlit peninsula opposite and is the English version of it's Gaelic name- Horgabost (this side) is, I think, a name handed down from the Norse who were here for a time 500 years or so ago.
Your lupins and music today are both terrific!
I like the processing here. Beautiful place and very nicely composed
David from Skye: Many thanks Stan- actually very little processing done to this one, mother nature did most of it!
Yet another stunner - there is something about the combination of a dark, brooding sky and sunlight that always amazes me. To answer your question from yesterday - it most definitely should go in the show!
Ingrid
David from Skye: Ha! Thanks! I shall order the frames then!
That is my favourite light situation too- I used to "help" it a little with a grad filter in days of darkrooms, now the digital darkroom that is RAW conversion is where I attempt the same treatments!
ANd the master of Hebridean landscapes has done it again. Congratulations. No more boats?
David from Skye: Thanks Sheila- you shouldn't tempt me, I might have to put up some more of the 200 or so still to come!
Another great landscape David, I guess these sort of scenes are two a penny up your way, you just need the right light to make the most of them.
David from Skye: Yes Brian, it's as easy as falling off a log- these beaches are everywhere!
WOW..Great shot.
David from Skye: Many thanks!
