Today we went down and watched the Gay Pride parade in all of its glory and nakedness and colour. It poured cats and dogs about a third of the way through soaking everyone and everything. Luckily, we had chosen a spot near a glass awning, so we just took half a dozen steps back and were fine. Lots of fun and plenty of floats, though there seemed to me to be a lot of corporate/business floats - bars, airlines, banks, politicians. Part of it is great, that it's more acceptable, but part of me knows that it's just companies saying, "Hey, here's another market to tap into." Still a great event to be out for.
