<< previous | <before Next in the series is this. Took this couple of weeks back in the backyard. I pat myself for doing a decent job, considering its raining heavily, holding a wooden plank for that dark background with one hand, and shooting with the other hand in a low lit situation (thank god because turning flash on works like a charm to get the detail in close up/macro shots). Last but not the least Post processing the picture does a better job than me. I am satisfied with this picture though bottom right is not in focus, afterall my camera does'nt have manual focus option.

I would not have questioned you, even if you said that this is a macro shot of the back of a grasshopper or some green insect.

I commend you on your dedication! One trick instead of the plank is to rely on your flash solely for light and set your camera so that it is way underexposed (like f/16 at 1/1000 second) your flash will illuminate your subject while everything else is black even in bright daylight.
I like the detail in the drops and the lines of the leaf on this one.

@Jason Kravitz: thank you for the noteworthy tip jason. Although my camera does'nt allow me to have set f-numbers and shutter speeds manually, i wud go with exposure compensation option and will fire flash to see if it works.
WONDERFUL!!! Love it. Very good cropped.

Nice shot! however I would prefer the green to be darker to give it that 'fresher' after the rain look :)
