This Week: Root Memorial Square
The park redesign in 2006 included the preservation of 31 of the existing trees. This makes the park, which was established in 1923, feel so peaceful and welcoming despite its recent facelift.
I love this photo because it reminds me of the wonderful evening at the park. Walking the area, watching people play basketball, sitting on the tiered seating and watching the sunset through the leaves of this beautiful tree. Sometimes there are perfect photo expeditions where I lose myself in the moment and this was one of those times.
