Back to the boardwalk
« previousnext »

Back down by the Hunnebostrand harbour at the dock/boardwalk again. (In truth, I have never been sure exactly what the point of this is, or why it's built the way it is. It's a fairly large platform over the water in a spot that really doesn't seem to have much need for it.

I played with the cropping on this one a bit. It's been a horizontal picture for the past few days, but it looked a wee bit wonky. When I took it, I wasn't quite straight on with the railing, so there was some really noticeable lens distortion on the left side. In the end I've reverted to the square crop again. One of these days I will try to explain why the sqaure crop keeps luring me as of late.

Great colors, strange feeling; the horizon is straight but the boardwalk isn't which makes this photo interesting.

I really love your Boardwalk series of shots. They're simple but dramatic. Absolutely love them.
