On my trip last week with Evie I was standing on the street taking a picture of a theatre I'd shot way back when and I looked up and saw this building with the Coca-Cola logo.

I had completely forgotten it was in this town. Someone had commented on my photo of this place in my archives just recently and so I captured some new images.

As I sat here tonight looking through them it took me by surprise how my preferences have changed. Power lines used to drive me crazy and I'd take great pains to capture a photo without them. Now, I like powerlines.

As I was focusing on this shot the truck wasn't there. My plan was to get a shot with no traffic and in fact I did capture several shots with no traffic. I distinctly remember clicking my tongue and sighing when these two vehicles appeared out of nowhere, but now it's my favorite image.

I also used to like my images to be perfectly crisp and clear, but after acquiring a taste for photos shot with a Holga or a Diana I'm striving for a little softer look without appearing to have just totally taken a lousy shot.

The first time I saw this town was 34 years ago; long before we moved to Arkansas. I was just a teenager, but I liked this sleepy little town. That's two things that haven't changed. It's still a sleepy little town and I still like it:-)

Travel where you will, anywhere in the world, and you will encounter Coca-Cola on clothes, in signs, on packaging, in art...everywhere.
