My 300th post! I've now posted one photo, every day, for 300 days. Many, many thanks to everyone who's visited and commented. A special thank you: Daryl, Sean, Klaus, sherri, saeed, Luis, Jen, Rags, Frank, Andrew and baobab An extra special thanks to Kevin (especially for teaching me about sunsets and shadow/highlights), Twelvebit, Ron and Melissa W.
too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

@Angelique: thanks, that's nice of you, especially since you're so amazing with colors yourself!
Congrats on the 300!!! It doesn't really seem like it's been that long. Wow, time flies. You're very welcome, though, I'm not sure I've done anything to deserve such thanks.
This image reminds me of an old rundown high school. I LOVE this processing...it really enhances the grunginess. Very nice composition...I like how the pole and light posts lead your eye through the image. Very cool. :)

@sherri: thank you!
Good skill and quality compositional strength. Simply making ordinary places look extraordinary is a big plus in itself and a skill I highly admire.

@Klaus: thanks a lot, Klaus!
Congrats on your 300th! The wall really sets the scene, here, pulling one through the hurdles (bike racks) and into the heart of the image. Your saturation is right on for my taste. I always look forward to see what you've discovered or uncovered each day ... you're one of my imagination inspirations !

@Ron: thanks for your very kind words, Ron! i look forward to seeing your creative points of view and presentations of things as well.
Yippee! Congratulations on this significant milestone! The repetition and rhythm illustrated in this photograph is a fitting posting on your tenacity and persistence to accomplish this!

@Kevin from OrganicPIX.com: thanks a lot, Kevin! three hundred days ago, i couldn't have imagined that i'd be able to create a photo like this one today. definitely couldn't have done it without the processing tricks you introduced me to. i've started experimenting with some stuff lately too (like this shot, and the no skateboarding sign shot), and ended up with this result almost entirely on accident when I was about to give up! there are not many people at all who would take the time to reprocess an image or suggest a tool or technique--i really appreciate that you were willing to do that for me!
Great lines and perspective here. You've become a master at taking what would normally be a rather mundane scene and presenting it with real style. Here's to the next 300! Well done!

This shot is very simple. As a matter of fact I took one very similar to this one last year. But the thing about yours is the processing. You did a fabulous job processing this picture. I like it!

Congratulations on your 300th post!
I really like the light in this one, on the wall and along the bike racks. nice pp with the combination of colour and sepia tones. as always a great use of objects and lines in your composition: good flow and energy.
