Do you ever have those days that start bad before you’ve even gotten out of bed? I had one of those days today. It started with a dream I had about one of my daughter’s friends shooting herself. We had gone to the hospital and said friend looked like a ghost. Literally white skin, dark bloodshot eyes…. It’s a haunting image that I just haven’t been able to shake. It’s left me feeling like something is wrong all day. I told my daughter she needed to phone that friend and make sure she’s okay. I’m hoping it’s all just a result of my sister telling me about a boy from her son’s school that had hung himself. Tragedy. Truly.

Why does the world have to have so much despair and ugliness in it? Why can’t people be kind and respectful to one another?
