Our NYC trip was a lot of fun and we spent a lot of time with the family. Baxter enjoyed the stay, but hated the long walks in the hot weather. He did love the dog pond in Prospect Park. On the way home from Brooklyn, we drove up to Montreal West for the weekend to visit Lesley's long time friends. I've never been to Quebec before so this weekend was quite a treat. Michael and Melissa are amazing hosts and today is their daughter Alexandra's birthday. Happy Birthday Alexandra! I took a bunch of photos in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Montreal, so over the next few days I will try to post as many as I can. I'll also tell you all about this great town and some of the things we have done this past week.Till then, enjoy this photo of some guy? in Central Park who was asking for money after I shot this. Just before taking this photo, Lesley and I were walking towards the park when someone walking next to us dropped her cell phone on Lesley's foot and it came apart. I bent down to pick up the battery cover while this stranger picked up the phone and battery. As I was handing the cover to her, she thanked me and noticing who it was, replied, "You're welcome Ivanka [Trump]." I snapped a few photos of her walking away but nothing worth posting.

(click to view full size image) i realized the other day that i've never heard mia bark. even when yelping dogs pass by mia just stands there and stares back stone cold and dead silent. you'd think she's a real hardass or something but she's actually the most tender little pugger ever. she's so damn cute that if her face wasn't already maximum squished i'd squish it some more.
