Musician for some fifteen years, by profession computer graphics designer since 1998, passionate about cinema, photography was a powerful pull well before I had a camera and that I also, ceasing the moment, came to savour the pleasure to practice this modern poetry. This blog does not have any particular theme, just a posting, more or less daily, of photos taken according to the inspiration at the time. Technically I work both in film and digital mode, not preferring one or the other but rather considering them as complimentary. I like film for the link to the photo that it creates, the photo becoming a tangible object that does not appear immediately, an object that one has to wait for. Film is the world of patience, of the consciousness of passing time. In fact, when using film I take much longer to take a shot. In contrast, digital mode seems to be the instant world, this immediacy that seems to be part of our modern way of life, but it also is this extraordinary possibility of allowing one’s inspiration to wander endlessly. Concerning my equipment, I use a Nikon F60 and a Nikon D80. Enjoy your visit. |
