Happy New Year Everyone! Let's make 2009 a year that shines in a positive way! One of the possible origins of the word English word blue is the Old High German blao, which means shining.
This time I changed the way of developing the photo. I opted to go a bit into high key. The subject and its colors "pushed" me into that direction. Not sure if you can really call it high key, but then why not?

On the last trip to Crete, I returned once more to the abandoned chemist shop, just to take another look and see if indeed I missed any shots. It was kind of odd, a few things had been moved around which gave the place a slightly different feel. Only small things but still it was oddly unsettling. So I took a few more this being one of them. I think any future trips will be to rescue items that are of interest to me. The pharmacy is situated in the village of Kato Horio (Κάτω Χω�ιό). Map? These are the huge vaults that cover the platforms at the Stazione Centrale, in Milano, in a freezy winter morning.

Updates will be a little slow here for a while as I'm moving house in a few weeks time.

I have been getting into textures and high contrasts recently and this goes well with that genre.

I do love texture its probably one of my favorite of things to capture.
