Basement I-IV
There’s something remarkably peaceful and almost welcoming about the cold, bleak depths of the basement which seems to stretch on forever through a maze of fire doors and gloomy side-passages. While I already posted a video of my frenzied exploration of the catacombs beneath the apartment buildings in my last entry, I thought a few detail shots while playing with my new tripod would be apt.
I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved being underground, in cold, gloomy passages or tunnels. Whether it’s basements, caves or mine-shafts, there’s just something inexplicably calming about being in enclosed spaces beneath the surface of the world.
