Most of my photographic skills are self-taught. I am open minded and always ready for new experiments - I always search for new ways and I am never really pleased with the last work - always on the search for the moment, in order to catch it. I was born in December 1965 in Erlenbach, a small town at the river Main, in the district Miltenberg in Bavaria. In the early 80's I began to photograph and quickly realized a certain preference for black and white photography. This preference carries on into my current work. On the Balthasar Neumann specialized technical school for art and design in Würzburg castle I expanded my graphic and artistic horizon. The experiences showed conceptionally in my analog photographic work of that time. At the end of of 2004 I finally switched to the digital photography. From this time on I work intensively to transfer my experiences in the analog photography to the digital level. After study and analysis of the EBV (electronic image processing) I work on a wide range of new ideas, which are consistently converted now in my practical digital work. But I always search for new and experimental ways . . . |
