i like this better a bit larger, (though the size depends on your monitor), so i thought i'd put a link to a larger version.
too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

Wonderful processing on this. Love the tilt and the sepia tone is just perfect.

Absolutely beautiful. Excellent post processing. Superb image.
Thanks for dropping a comment to my post Just Colour. To answer your question, this in fact is not a mask. Most of it is face painting. This is from a Kathakali performance, which is a traditional art form practiced in Kerala, India. The actors/actresses enact stories from Indian epics and are accompanied by musicians. You can read more about it here.

The shadows and birds eye view give it a 3D effect. I also like the tilt angle perspective in this photograph. More parking lots should have tennis courts above them!

Such a monochrome shot emphasizes the interesting lines and structures very well. Good job!
