There is only one way to describe Philip Anthonie Reyes Cruz's work: magnificent. He has a way of bringing a person's personality out in a single photograph. Philip introduces the viewer to new people and cultures in a way that only an insider can. He has a vivid imagination, an eye for the extraordinary, and an ability to capture intense color. Philip's work in portraiture is inspirational and his landscapes draw on the endless beauty of the Philippine countryside.
Philip began his photography seriously in July of 2005 and has created a style that is easily recognizable. He is truly a photographer auteur - a one-of-a-kind artist. Philip credits his fellow photographers with training him in the art of photography. He also credits movies with giving him vision. As Philip states, "I would have to say that with each shot, my vision seems to reflect scenes I've seen from the movies." If all movies held the power of Philip's photography, we'd never want to leave the theater.
