The first thought that came to my mind when I saw Ernesto Timor's photography was that it has a film quality along the lines of independent films. Raw, gritty, and cinematic, his photography tells a story. Each shot is a story in and of itself and also a part of something bigger and bolder.
Bold is the key. Ernesto doesn't shy away from controversial, odd, or different. In fact, he embraces it and exploits it in a very delectable fashion. His gripping images may delight, titillate, worry, or scare you, but that is the appeal. Good stories do that and Ernesto is a good storyteller.
