I have a long distance love affair with India. I've never been, but when I see photographs of India by talented photographers like Sriram, I am enamored all over again. I'm sure the colors of India have something to do with it. Sriram captures those colors vividly. Each color image is bold and beautiful, incredibly powerful in simplicity.
Perhaps, though, it is the people. Sriram's photographs of the people of India make this transparent. The children look idyllic and the photographs of adults in work environments or during celebrations are an insight into a culture that exudes knowledge about life. Sriram's photography speaks volumes about his love for his homeland, and rightfully so.
