Amanda Gilligan is a detail-oriented photographer who really loves taking photographs. It's the details that really make her tick, so much so that she started a Flickr group based on the details of photography. I have been following Amanda's work for a few years now, and I'm always surprised by how much it makes me happy. It's the kind of photography that I want to jump in, lay down, and wallow about in it. I want to soak it all up and then ask for more.
What I really love most about Amanda's photography is her willingness to experiment. She buys new cameras, tries them on for size, and shares those trials with all of us so we can see what she sees. From digital to film to Polaroid to Holga, Amanda tests it all out and then invites us into her playground to share with her.
