The first time I viewed Anthony Mahieu's photographs, I thought that this is a man who understands the gloaming, that moment when light is at its best, when it glows and warms the earth in a halo of brilliance. Anthony's photography captures the brilliance of that moment. Shot often in wide angle, his images provide incredible depth and clarity.
So much of what I like about Anthony's photography is its universal appeal. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at one of his photographs and thought I knew exactly where it had been shot, only to discover it was half the world away. Anthony's keen eye makes the world that much smaller and that much more beautiful.
