Uwe Eischens is an artist in every sense of the word. He uses the tools of a photographer, cameras and lenses, and combines those with the tools of a digital artist, Photoshop and Lightroom, and develops pieces of art that convey his vision. Each image does seem like it could be plucked right out of the most perfect world, but as Uwe states, "don’t expect to see the “reality” in every single picture on my blog."
Uwe is unapologetic (and rightly so) in his use of these tools, stating that "photography and post processing are indissociable elements to gain the desired expression." As I peruse his gallery, I find myself considering the placement of mankind within a scene: a lonely stretch of trees dominated by a windmill, a spider against the backdrop of the shadow of a window, and a lone road disrupting fields of grain. We have insinuated ourselves into the natural world, and it has often created a beautiful coexistence.
